Review the Details That Matter on the Water
Use the feature diagram to identify the construction and branding decisions that need to be confirmed for
your project. The diagram is a planning aid; final performance depends on the selected product, material,
dimensions and approved sample.
1. Wide Brim Direction
A wider brim can increase the area physically shaded around the face, ears and neck. Confirm the actual brim dimensions, weave, shape and intended wearer through the selected product specification and sample.
A wide brim is not the same as a tested UPF rating.
2. Dark Under-Brim Direction
A dark or solid-color under-brim can be considered when planning a fishing or boating visual direction. Select the color, lining construction and finish during sampling rather than relying on an untested glare-reduction claim.
3. Adjustable Chin Cord
Compare cord material, color, attachment, adjustment method and fit on the selected sample. The chin cord is a product component for fit and retention review; it is not a certified safety restraint.
4. Brim Edge Binding
